God chose Abraham, multiplied his descendants, delivered Israel from Egypt, protected them at the Red Sea, and gave them victory over many nations. These victories were not by Israel’s strength but by God’s power. Their inheritance was within Judah’s territory because Judah’s portion was too large. Simeon received cities like Beersheba and thirteen others, plus additional villages. The third lot went to Zebulun. Their territory extended to Sarid and included twelve cities with their villages. The fourth lot went to Issachar. Their inheritance included Jezreel and sixteen cities with surrounding villages. 4. 📖 Key Verse The inheritance of the people of Simeon formed part of the territory of the people of Judah. Their territory stretched from the Jordan near Jericho through the hill country to Bethel and extended westward to the sea. Ephraim’s boundaries are detailed, including towns within Manasseh’s inheritance. However, the Canaanites in Gezer were not driven out and remained, serving as forced labor. 4. 📖 Key Verse The people of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance (v. 4). 5. 📝 Reflection Our culture values fairness—equal rights, equal opportunities. How is that possible? Is it because they repented and believed? No—it’s because God did it. Dear friends, we are God’s people purely by His grace. So when we entrust our lives to Him, we begin to fully enjoy that grace.
