You Already Belong by Grace π€

- π July 3, 2025
- ✝️ Psalm 87:1-7
- π Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush— “This one was born there,” they say (v. 4).
- π The key verse says that even the enemies of God’s people will become His people. How is that possible? Is it because they repented and believed? No—it’s because God did it. Dear friends, we are God’s people purely by His grace. So when we entrust our lives to Him, we begin to fully enjoy that grace. Let’s not be ashamed of our weakness, but be thankful—and rejoice in His mercy today.

7-Step QT Notes
1. π Quiet Time
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Invite God into this moment—not just to speak to your mind, but to remind your heart who you are in Him.
2. π July 3, 2025
Today is a new opportunity to remember: your identity is not earned—it’s given by grace.
3. ✝️ Psalm 87:1–7
This short psalm is a poetic celebration of Zion, the city of God.
But it’s not just about geography—it’s about belonging.
Even former enemies are now counted as citizens of God’s city.
4. π Key Verse
Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush— “This one was born there,” they say (v. 4).
5. π Reflection
How do you know you belong?
Psalm 87 gives a surprising answer:
Even those from enemy nations—Rahab, Babylon, Philistia, Tyre, and Cush—are now called children of Zion.
Not because they earned it. Not because they proved themselves.
But because God chose to write their names there.
π‘ Think about this:
- You are not God’s child because you’ve done everything right.
- You belong because of grace.
- Your past, your background, your failures—they don’t disqualify you.
- God says, “This one was born in Zion.” That’s your new identity.
So today, don’t live trying to prove your worth.
Live from the truth that you already belong.
6. π¬ What does this passage speak to you today?
