7-Step QT Notes
1. π Quiet Time

Ask the risen Jesus to meet you today and fill your heart with His peace and joy.
2. π April 5, 2026
Today’s passage reminds us:
Jesus meets us in the middle of fear and fills us with resurrection joy and peace.
3. ✝️ Matthew 28:1-10
Early on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb. There, an angel told them that Jesus had risen just as He said and instructed them to tell the disciples to go to Galilee. The women left with fear and great joy, and on the way, the risen Jesus met them. They took hold of His feet and worshiped Him, and Jesus told them again not to be afraid.
4. π Key Verse
And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” (v. 9a)
5. π Reflection
The risen Jesus suddenly appeared to the women and greeted them: “Peace be with you.” This scene gives us deep and profound comfort.
Were the women in today’s passage actually at peace? Not at all. None of the things they had been thinking about, worrying over, and hoping for during the past few days had happened as expected. Instead, one shocking event followed another. They saw an angel and heard his message. The tomb was empty. And they were told that Jesus—whose dead body they had clearly seen with their own eyes—had risen again. How could they possibly have been calm as they ran with hearts filled with both fear and joy?
Yet Jesus says to them, “Peace be with you.” This is not merely a question, but more like a declaration: “Be at peace,” “Rejoice.” Jesus came to the women in the midst of their anxiety and confusion as the One who gives peace and joy.
Beloved saints, the news of the resurrection is joy. The news of the resurrection is peace. The news of the resurrection is to rejoice in Jesus, who gives peace. Therefore, today we can rejoice. We can also enjoy peace.
Is anyone today suffering in fear, worry, anxiety, confusion, disorder, or brokenness—far from joy and peace? Then meet the risen Jesus today. I sincerely pray that you will enjoy true peace and rest in him.

Scriptures
π (Matthew 28:1-10, ESV).
1 Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 5 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” 8 So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”
