The LORD reigns in majesty and strength, establishing the world so that it cannot be moved. His throne is from everlasting, and He is mightier than the raging floods and waves of the sea. Therefore, His decrees are trustworthy, and holiness forever adorns His house.

5. 📝 Reflection

No one doubts that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. No one expects a ripe apple falling from a tree to go upward rather than toward the ground. Nor is there anyone who does not know that a child, once born and grown, will eventually face death. In this way, the world we live in operates by stable and unchangeable laws that no one can alter. Yet it is surprising that many people claim such precise and orderly rules came into existence on their own.

Today’s psalm clearly proclaims that the LORD God rules over the world. Because the Almighty reigns from everlasting to everlasting, all things move within an unshakable order. The very stability of the world’s operation bears witness to the faithfulness of God.

Beloved saints, do you truly acknowledge that God governs this world? Do you recognize that the order of this world testifies to God’s faithfulness? If so, we too must live steadily under the faithful rule of God. If we believe that all things move according to God’s sovereign order, then the way God’s children ought to live becomes clear. I bless you today to show the world, through your life, what it means to live as a child of God.

1 The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. 2 Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting.
