Ask God to help you see the hope of resurrection more clearly, and to live today in light of the eternal life Christ has given.

2. 📅 June 14, 2026

Today’s passage reminds us:

Resurrection is not only life after death, but the end of death and the beginning of eternal life in God’s kingdom.

3. ✝️ 1 Corinthians 15:20-28

Christ has been raised from the dead as the firstfruits of the resurrection. As all die in Adam, all who belong to Christ will be made alive in him. At the end, Christ will destroy every power and even death itself, then deliver the kingdom to God the Father, so that God may be all in all.

4. 📖 Key Verse

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive (v. 22).

5. 📝 Reflection

Many Christians often think of resurrection simply as “a dead person coming back to life.” Logically speaking, that is not wrong. Just as Jesus Christ conquered death, those who believe in His name will also overcome death and rise again. As death entered the world through Adam, so the resurrection of the dead comes through Jesus Christ (cf. v. 21).

Yet there is a deeper and more important truth in the resurrection. Resurrection is not merely about the dead coming back to life. Resurrection means that death comes to an end and true life is given. At the end of the age, the last enemy—death—will be destroyed, and the life ruled by God, the Lord over all things, will be given to us. Through Jesus Christ, we will enter into the life where God’s will is fully accomplished. To live forever as God’s children in a world where death no longer exists—that is eternal life, resurrection, and the gospel.

Therefore, we are the most blessed people in the world. We possess not only life in this world but also life in the kingdom of God. This gives us a clear reason to live with hope in this world. Those who carry the hope of eternal life in God’s kingdom have no reason to live according to their sinful desires. It is like a person who already possesses something far better having no reason to choose something far worse.

Beloved brothers and sisters, do not think of resurrection merely as coming back to life after death. Resurrection means that death ends and eternal life begins. The hope of living eternally in the kingdom of God has been given to us. If we carry this hope, there is no reason for us to lose our hearts to the trivial things of this world or to hate our brothers and sisters over small matters.

Those who hold the hope of resurrection—the hope of eternal life—do their best to glorify God even in this temporary life on earth. I bless you today to become people who build up the church community with that hope.

  • Am I living as if this temporary world is all I have?
  • What temporary desire or “smaller thing” do I need to let go of because I already have a greater hope in Christ?
  • How can I build up my church community today with resurrection hope?

7. 🙏 Prayer

Our heavenly Father, thank You for raising Jesus Christ from the dead.

Thank You that in Christ, death will not have the final word.

Help me to live with the hope of resurrection and eternal life.

Teach me to love more freely, serve more humbly, forgive more quickly, and build up Your church more faithfully.

May my life today bring glory to You as I wait for the day when You will be all in all.

Amen.
