2. 📅 April 17, 2026
Today’s passage reminds us:
Because the LORD is good, we can come to Him with joy, gratitude, and trust.
3. ✝️ Psalm 100:1-5
All the earth is called to make a joyful noise to the LORD and come before Him with gladness, thanksgiving, and praise. The LORD is God, our Creator, and we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Because the LORD is good, His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness continues to all generations.
4. 📖 Key Verse
For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations (v. 5).
5. 📝 Reflection
To truly know someone is very important. Only when we know a person rightly can we discern whether that person is trustworthy. When we come to regard someone as trustworthy, we are then able to share our hearts and continue in a lasting relationship. This principle applies not only to personal relationships but also to the world of business. Entering into a business contract without sufficiently knowing the other party can become a serious management risk. That is why people invest much time and effort in determining whether someone is a suitable partner for a contract, and only when they have gained sufficient confidence do they proceed.
The reason we are cautious about knowing someone is not simply to determine whether that person will benefit us. It is also because we want to guard ourselves from being hurt by that relationship. We are quite accustomed to viewing and understanding others from such a rational perspective.
Then what kind of attitude do we, as Christians, have toward knowing God? It would be good for us to reflect on how significant knowing God truly is for us, and how it shapes the direction of our lives. Furthermore, we should ask ourselves whether we are devoting enough time and effort to know God rightly.
In today’s psalm, the psalmist, with confidence in the Lord who is full of hesed and emet—that is, steadfast love and faithfulness—invites not only us but all the earth into a place of praise. He clearly proclaims that the Lord is good and that His steadfast love endures forever. He also praises with confidence that the Lord is the One who made us and who still rules and leads us.
Beloved saints, as we read this psalm today, I sincerely hope that we too will know, trust, and praise God with such assurance. For rightly knowing and believing in God is both the privilege and the duty of God’s people.

Scriptures
📖 (Psalm 100:1-5, ESV).
1 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! 2 Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!
3 Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5 For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Come into His presence with singing! I enter His presence through reading the Scriptures and meditating upon them. May God grant me the wisdom and understanding to savor His presence within the Word. Lately, I have been weighed down by many worries. Nevertheless, I trust that God will work through them for His glory.
