✝️ Zechariah 14:1-8
-
π Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward (vv. 3-4).
-
π The day of the LORD brings judgment, even for believers. Though it may be difficult, God’s salvation is certain. He will fight, restore, and reign. For His people, judgment becomes salvation. Trust in His victory, take refuge in Him, and praise the God who brings restoration through the fire.

1. π Quiet Time
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Ask God to help you see His victory and trust His protection today.
2. π October 29, 2025
Today’s passage reminds us:
Judgment may look scary, but for God’s people, it’s the beginning of restoration.
3. ✝️ Zechariah 14:1–8
Zechariah describes a dramatic day—the day of the LORD. It’s a day of judgment, and even God’s people will feel its weight. But it’s also a day of hope. God Himself will step in, fight for His people, and stand on the Mount of Olives. The mountain will split, creating a way of escape. God’s presence will bring victory, protection, and healing.
4. π Key Verse (ESV)
“Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives…” (Zechariah 14:3–4)
5. π Reflection
The “day of the LORD” sounds intense—and it is. It’s a day of judgment, and even believers may feel overwhelmed. But don’t miss the bigger picture: God shows up. He fights for His people. He makes a way. He reigns.
When life feels like a battle, remember: God doesn’t leave you to fight alone. He steps in. He splits mountains. He creates escape routes. And He brings living water to refresh and restore.
So don’t fear the fire or the fight. If you belong to Him, judgment becomes salvation. Let this truth give you peace and confidence today.

Scriptures
π 1 Behold, a day is coming for the LORD, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst. 2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. 4 On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. 5 And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.
6 On that day there shall be no light, cold, or frost. 7 And there shall be a unique day, which is known to the LORD, neither day nor night, but at evening time there shall be light.
8 On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea. It shall continue in summer as in winter (Zech 14:1-8, ESV).
