- π July 20, 2025
- ✝️ Ezekiel 2:1-10
- π And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house (v. 7).
- π God commands us to speak His Word, even when people refuse to listen. Their rejection stems from rebellion, not our inadequacy. Though it may seem ineffective, obedience becomes joyful when we understand that God’s message is driven by love—even for those who resist Him. Faithfulness matters more than results.

7-Step QT Notes
1. π Quiet Time
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Ask God to give you courage—not just to hear His Word, but to speak it boldly, even when it’s hard.
2. π July 20, 2025
Today’s passage reminds us that faithfulness isn’t measured by results, but by obedience.
God calls us to speak—even when people don’t want to listen.
3. ✝️ Ezekiel 2:1–10
God calls Ezekiel to be His messenger to a rebellious people.
He doesn’t promise success or applause.
He simply says: “Speak My words—whether they listen or not.”
4. π Key Verse
“And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.” (v. 7)
5. π Reflection
Sometimes we hesitate to share God’s truth because we’re afraid people won’t listen.
But God doesn’t call us to be popular—He calls us to be faithful.
Ezekiel was sent to a people who had already rejected God.
Still, God sends His Word—because He still loves them.
That’s the heart of this passage:
God’s love speaks, even when people don’t want to hear.
π‘ Application Point:
Don’t let rejection silence your witness.
Speak truth with love.
Your job isn’t to change hearts—that’s God’s role.
Your job is to be faithful with the message.

7. π Prayer
God, give me boldness to speak Your truth—whether it’s received or rejected.
Help me love people enough to share Your Word, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Make me faithful, not fearful.Amen.
Scriptures
π 1 And he said to me, “Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.” 2 And as he spoke to me, the Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet, and I heard him speaking to me. 3 And he said to me, “Son of man, I send you to the people of Israel, to nations of rebels, who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me to this very day. 4 The descendants also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD.’ 5 And whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house) they will know that a prophet has been among them. 6 And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions. Be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house. 7 And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.
8 “But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Be not rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you.” 9 And when I looked, behold, a hand was stretched out to me, and behold, a scroll of a book was in it. 10 And he spread it before me. And it had writing on the front and on the back, and there were written on it words of lamentation and mourning and woe (Ezek 2:1-10, ESV).
