7-Step QT Notes
1. π Quiet Time
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Invite God into this moment—not to fix everything instantly, but to remind you of His faithful love.
2. π July 1, 2025
Today is a new chance to stop striving and start trusting in the One who saves by grace.
3. ✝️ Psalm 85:1–13
This psalm looks back at God’s past mercy and forward to His promised restoration.
It’s a prayer for revival—not based on human effort, but on God’s steadfast love.
4. π Key Verse
“Show us your steadfast love, O LORD,
and grant us your salvation.” (v.7)
5. π Reflection
You’ve probably heard: “Work hard, and you’ll get what you deserve.”
But Psalm 85 flips that idea. It reminds us that salvation isn’t earned—it’s given.
The psalmist remembers how God forgave and restored in the past.
Now, he asks again—not because Israel deserves it, but because God is faithful.
Here’s what this psalm shows us:
- God’s love (hesed) is the foundation of salvation—not our performance.
- Revival comes when we stop pretending we’ve got it all together and start depending on His mercy.
- When love and faithfulness meet, when righteousness and peace kiss (v.10)—that’s where heaven touches earth.
π‘ Think about this:
You don’t have to hustle for God’s approval.
You already have His love.
So today, live not by pressure—but by grace.

Scriptures
π 1 LORD, you were favorable to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob. 2 You forgave the iniquity of your people; you covered all their sin. Selah 3 You withdrew all your wrath; you turned from your hot anger.
4 Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away your indignation toward us! 5 Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations? 6 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? 7 Show us your steadfast love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation.
8 Let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly. 9 Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
10 Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other. 11 Faithfulness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky. 12 Yes, the LORD will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. 13 Righteousness will go before him and make his footsteps a way (Ps 85:1–13, ESV).
