He set up a large stone as a witness to their commitment to God. Afterward, Joshua sent the people to their inheritance. Joshua died at 110 and was buried in Timnath-serah. Israel served the Lord throughout Joshua’s life and during the lives of the elders who witnessed God’s works. Joseph’s bones were buried at Shechem, fulfilling Jacob’s purchase of land.
