Ask God to teach you what faithful discipleship looks like when following Jesus costs something. 2. 📅 April 4, 2026 Today’s passage reminds us: True discipleship stays with Jesus not only in glory, but also in shame. 3. ✝️ Matthew 27:57-66 Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus, wrapped it in a clean linen shroud, and laid it in his own new tomb. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting opposite the tomb. The next day, the chief priests and Pharisees secured the tomb by sealing the stone and setting a guard because they remembered Jesus’ words about rising after three days. 4. 📖 Key Verse And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock.
