  3. ✝️ Zechariah 9:9-17

  4. πŸ“– Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey (v. 9).

  5. πŸ“ Humans fear and try to predict the future, but only God’s Word is certain. Zechariah 9:9 was fulfilled in Christ’s entry, proving Scripture’s reliability. Trusting God’s promises transforms our future from fear to hope. Let’s listen, believe, and follow His Word with confidence in what’s to come.

7-Step QT Notes

1. πŸ™ Quiet Time

Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Ask God to soften your heart and help you listen to His voice today.

2. πŸ“… October 24, 2025

Today’s passage reminds us:
God’s promises are trustworthy—your future is secure in Him.

3. ✝️ Zechariah 9:9–17

Zechariah prophesies the coming of a humble King—righteous and bringing salvation, riding on a donkey. This prophecy was fulfilled centuries later in Jesus’ triumphal entry (Matthew 21:5, John 12:15). The passage also speaks of God’s power to save and protect His people. It’s a reminder that God’s Word is not vague or symbolic—it’s precise, powerful, and fulfilled.

4. πŸ“– Key Verse

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” (v. 9)

5. πŸ“ Reflection

Whether ancient or modern, people have always feared the future and tried to control it—through fortune-telling, superstition, or historical patterns. But none of these truly reveal what’s ahead. Even when we think we know, life rarely goes as planned.

God’s Word is different. When He speaks, it happens. Zechariah 9:9 was fulfilled exactly as prophesied in Jesus’ triumphal entry (Matthew 21:5, John 12:15). That’s not coincidence—it’s divine certainty.

So what does this mean for us today? It means we don’t have to fear the unknown. If we trust God’s Word, our future becomes a place of hope, not anxiety. His promises are not vague—they’re specific, trustworthy, and already unfolding.

Let’s be people who listen to His voice, trust His Word, and walk forward with confidence.

6. πŸ’¬ What does this passage speak to you today?

  • Do I trust God’s promises more than my own plans or predictions?
  • How does knowing God’s Word is fulfilled affect how I view the future?
  • What would it look like to live with hope instead of fear today?

7. πŸ™ Prayer

Lord, thank You for being a God who keeps His promises.
Help me trust Your Word more than my own understanding.
Give me peace about the future, knowing You are already there.
Let my life reflect the hope I have in You.
Amen.

Scriptures

πŸ“– 9  Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. 10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the war horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall speak peace to the nations; his rule shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. 11 As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. 12 Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double. 13 For I have bent Judah as my bow; I have made Ephraim its arrow. I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and wield you like a warrior’s sword.

14 Then the LORD will appear over them, and his arrow will go forth like lightning; the Lord GOD will sound the trumpet and will march forth in the whirlwinds of the south. 15 The LORD of hosts will protect them, and they shall devour, and tread down the sling stones, and they shall drink and roar as if drunk with wine, and be full like a bowl, drenched like the corners of the altar.

16 On that day the LORD their God will save them, as the flock of his people; for like the jewels of a crown they shall shine on his land. 17 For how great is his goodness, and how great his beauty! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the young women (Zech 9:9-17, ESV).
