π God’s kingdom isn’t defined by gold or crystal but by His presence. David longed to gaze on the beauty of the LORD (Psalm 27:4). True hope is not heaven’s splendor but God Himself. Today, choose to seek His beauty above all else—this is the ultimate treasure for His people.

7-Step QT Notes
1. π Quiet Time
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Ask God to help you long for His presence and reign in your life today.
2. π October 30, 2025
Today’s passage reminds us:
The beauty of God’s kingdom is found in His presence, not in its golden streets.
3. ✝️ Zechariah 14:9–15
Zechariah paints a picture of the ultimate reality: God reigning as King over all the earth. On that day, the LORD will be one, and His name one. The true beauty of His kingdom isn’t about gold or crystal—it’s about the presence of God Himself. David understood this when he prayed in Psalm 27:4: “One thing I ask from the LORD… to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek Him in His temple.” That’s what makes heaven glorious—God’s presence.
4. π Key Verse (ESV)
“And the LORD will be king over all the earth. On that day the LORD will be one and his name one.” (Zechariah 14:9)
5. π Reflection
Have you ever imagined what God’s kingdom will look like? We often picture golden streets and crystal walls—but the real beauty isn’t in the scenery. It’s in the presence of God. David knew this: the greatest desire is to behold the beauty of the LORD.
So what are you longing for today? Is it the glitter of heaven—or the glory of God Himself? Let your heart be like David’s: “One thing I ask… to gaze on the beauty of the LORD.” That’s the ultimate treasure.
6. π¬ What does this passage speak to you today?
- Am I more focused on heaven’s beauty or God’s presence?
- How can I seek the beauty of the LORD in my everyday life?
- What would change if my greatest desire was to know Him more?
7. π Prayer
Lord, You are the King over all the earth.
Help me not to chase the glitter of heaven, but to long for Your presence.
Let my heart desire one thing: to gaze on Your beauty and walk in Your ways.
Amen.
Scriptures
π 9 And the LORD will be king over all the earth. On that day the LORD will be one and his name one.
10 The whole land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. But Jerusalem shall remain aloft on its site from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the former gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses. 11 And it shall be inhabited, for there shall never again be a decree of utter destruction. Jerusalem shall dwell in security.
12 And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.
13 And on that day a great panic from the LORD shall fall on them, so that each will seize the hand of another, and the hand of the one will be raised against the hand of the other. 14 Even Judah will fight at Jerusalem. And the wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be collected, gold, silver, and garments in great abundance. 15 And a plague like this plague shall fall on the horses, the mules, the camels, the donkeys, and whatever beasts may be in those camps (Zech 14:9-15, ESV).
