π The opposite of love isn’t hate—it’s indifference. While we give up on those who reject us, God never does. He keeps reaching out to rebellious people with relentless, patient love. Even when we turn away, His hands remain open. Today, remember: God still loves you and waits for you.

7-Step QT Notes
1. π Quiet Time
Pause. Take a deep breath. Ask God to open your heart to His persistent love and to help you respond with faith and obedience today.
2. π September 27, 2025
Today’s passage reminds us: God never stops reaching out—even when we turn away.
3. ✝️ Romans 10:14–21
Paul asks a series of questions: How can people believe if they’ve never heard? How can they hear without someone preaching? Faith comes through hearing the Word of Christ. Yet, even though Israel heard, many still rejected God. Still, God says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.” His love is relentless.
4. π Key Verse
“But of Israel he says, ‘All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.’” (v. 21)
5. π Reflection
We often think the opposite of love is hate, but in reality, it’s indifference. When someone hurts us repeatedly, we eventually stop caring. We cut them off because we no longer love them.
But God isn’t like that. Even when His people disobey and reject Him, He keeps reaching out—arms open, waiting. That’s not weak love; it’s relentless, patient, and costly love.
If you’ve been distant from God, know this: He hasn’t given up on you. His hands are still extended toward you today. Will you turn back and take His hand?
6. π¬ What does this passage speak to you today?
- Where have I been ignoring God’s voice in my life?
- How does God’s persistent love challenge my view of Him?
- Who in my life needs to experience this kind of patient love through me?
7. π Prayer
Lord, thank You for never giving up on me. Even when I wander, You keep reaching out with love. Help me respond to You today with obedience and trust. Teach me to show this same patient love to others. Amen.
Scriptures
π 14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. 18 But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for
“Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”
19 But I ask, did Israel not understand? First Moses says,
“I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; with a foolish nation I will make you angry.”
20 Then Isaiah is so bold as to say,
“I have been found by those who did not seek me; I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me.”
21 But of Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.” (Rom 10:14-21, ESV).
