Today’s passage reminds us: Death doesn’t have the final word—Jesus does.

3. ✝️ Romans 6:8–14

Paul declares that if we died with Christ, we will also live with Him. Jesus died once for all and now lives forever—death has no power over Him. In the same way, consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ. Don’t let sin reign in your body. Offer yourself to God as someone brought from death to life.

Everyone fears death. Our culture spends billions trying to avoid aging, extend life, or even choose death on our own terms. But the gospel says something radical: Jesus defeated death—and if you belong to Him, death no longer owns you.

That changes everything:

  • You don’t have to live in fear of the future.
  • You don’t have to let sin call the shots.
  • You’re free to live boldly for God.

So why live like a prisoner when the door is wide open? Grace doesn’t just forgive—it empowers you to live a new life.

12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. 14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace (Rom 6:8-14, ESV).
