✝️ Romans 4:18-25
-
π No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised (vv. 20-21).
-
π Faith transcends logic and experience. Abraham knew the impossibility of having a child at his age, yet trusted God’s promise. His confidence wasn’t rooted in reason but in God’s gift of faith (Eph. 2:8–9). This same gift empowers us to live boldly, trusting God beyond circumstances.

7-Step QT Notes
1. π Quiet Time
Pause. Take a deep breath. Ask God to strengthen your faith and help you trust His promises—even when life feels impossible.
2. π September 11, 2025
Today’s passage reminds us: Faith trusts God’s promises even when circumstances seem hopeless.
3. ✝️ Romans 4:18–25
Abraham faced the facts: his body was as good as dead, and Sarah’s womb was barren. Yet he didn’t let unbelief win. He grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, fully convinced that God could do what He promised. This wasn’t just for him—it’s for us who believe in Jesus, raised for our justification.
4. π Key Verse
“No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.” (vv. 20–21)
5. π Reflection
Faith isn’t blind optimism. Abraham knew the odds. He saw the reality. But he trusted God anyway—not because it made sense, but because God is faithful.
Our culture says: “Believe in yourself. Trust what you can see.” God says: “Believe in Me. Trust what I’ve promised.”
Faith goes beyond logic and experience because it rests on God’s character, not our circumstances. And here’s the good news: even that faith is a gift from God (Eph. 2:8–9).
What about you? Are you letting fear or facts define your future? Or are you fully convinced that God can do what He promised?
6. π¬ What does this passage speak to you today?

- Who needs encouragement to trust God’s promises this week?
7. π Prayer
God, thank You for being faithful even when life feels impossible. Strengthen my faith to trust Your promises over my fears. Help me live with confidence in You and encourage others to do the same. Amen.
Scriptures
π 18 In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.” 19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah’s womb. 20 No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, 21 fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. 22 That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” 23 But the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, 24 but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification (Rom 4:18-25, ESV).
