  4. πŸ“– The sins of some people are conspicuous, going before them to judgment, but the sins of others appear later. So also good works are conspicuous, and even those that are not cannot remain hidden (vv. 24-25)
  5. πŸ“ Don’t rush to judge or promote—what’s hidden will be revealed in time. God sees beyond the surface. Choose character over charisma. Quiet faithfulness matters.πŸ’‘

7-Step QT Notes

1. πŸ™ Quiet Time

Pause.

Take a deep breath.

God sees what’s hidden—and He calls us to live with wisdom and integrity.

He invites us to build His church not on charisma, but on character.

2. πŸ“… July 15, 2025

Today is a reminder that leadership—whether in church, work, or relationships—requires discernment.

Not everything is as it seems. And not everyone shows their true self right away.

3. ✝️ 1 Timothy 5:17–25

Paul gives Timothy practical wisdom for leading the church.

He talks about honoring faithful leaders, protecting against false accusations, and being slow to appoint new ones.

Why? Because both sin and goodness can be hidden—but time always reveals the truth.

4. πŸ“– Key Verse

“The sins of some people are conspicuous, going before them to judgment, but the sins of others appear later. So also good works are conspicuous, and even those that are not cannot remain hidden.” (vv. 24–25)

5. πŸ“ Reflection

We live in a world that moves fast—quick to judge, quick to promote, quick to cancel.

But Paul reminds us: slow down.

Some people’s flaws are obvious. Others? Hidden beneath charm or talent.

Some good works are celebrated. Others? Quiet, unseen, but no less real.

πŸ’‘ Think about this:

  • Don’t rush to elevate someone just because they seem impressive.
  • Don’t overlook someone just because they’re quiet or behind the scenes.
  • God sees everything—and in time, so will we.

This passage calls us to discernment.

To value character over charisma.

To trust that faithfulness will be revealed, even if it takes time.

6. πŸ’¬ What does this passage speak to you today?

  • Have I been too quick to judge someone—positively or negatively?
  • Am I living with integrity, even when no one’s watching?
  • How can I grow in patience and discernment in my relationships and community?

“God, give me eyes to see beyond the surface. Help me to be wise, patient, and full of grace. Make me someone who builds Your church with truth and love.”

Scriptures

πŸ“– 17 Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching. 18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer deserves his wages.” 19 Do not admit a charge against an elder except on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 20 As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear. 21 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels I charge you to keep these rules without prejudging, doing nothing from partiality. 22 Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, nor take part in the sins of others; keep yourself pure. 23 (No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.) 24 The sins of some people are conspicuous, going before them to judgment, but the sins of others appear later. 25 So also good works are conspicuous, and even those that are not cannot remain hidden (1 Tim 5:17-25, ESV).
