7-Step QT Notes
1. π Quiet Time
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
God is not distant—He desires to draw near.
And He desires that you would grow into the person He created you to be.
2. π July 13, 2025
Today is a reminder that your faith isn’t just about believing—it’s about becoming.
God is shaping you to be a servant who reflects Christ in every part of life.
3. ✝️ 1 Timothy 4:6–16
Paul writes to Timothy, a young leader, encouraging him to live with purpose and spiritual discipline.
He reminds him that being a faithful servant of Christ means both teaching truth and living it out.
It’s not about impressing people—it’s about honoring God.
4. π Key Verse
“…you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus…” (v. 6)
5. π Reflection
Paul gives Timothy two big challenges:
1. Train yourself in godliness (vv. 6–10):
Just like physical fitness takes effort, so does spiritual growth.
Godliness doesn’t happen by accident—it’s a daily choice.
2. Be an example in your everyday life (vv. 11–16):
Even if you’re young, your life can speak louder than your words.
Your speech, your love, your faith, and your integrity—they all matter.
π‘ Think about this:
- What are you training for—comfort or Christlikeness?
- Are you letting age, fear, or comparison hold you back?
- God isn’t looking for perfection—He’s looking for faithfulness.
π― The ultimate goal?
Not to impress people or earn spiritual “status,” but to be a good servant of Christ—someone who lives to please God, not people.

“Jesus, thank You for calling me to be Your servant. Help me to train my heart, not just my habits. Make me an example of Your love, even when no one’s watching. Use my life to point others to You.”
Scriptures
π 6 If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. 7 Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; 8 for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 9 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance. 10 For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
11 Command and teach these things. 12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. 14 Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. 15 Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. 16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers (1 Tim 4:6-16, ESV).
