7-Step QT Notes

1. πŸ™ Quiet Time

Take a moment to slow down. Breathe. Invite God into this space.

He’s already here, ready to remind you of who He is and what He’s done.

2. πŸ“… June 20, 2025

Today is a new day. Let’s meet God through His Word.

3. ✝️ Psalm 78:1–8

The psalmist calls God’s people to remember His works and pass them on to the next generation.

Why? So that they would put their hope in God, not forget His faithfulness, and live in obedience.

4. πŸ“– Key Verse

“So that they should set their hope in God
and not forget the works of God,
but keep his commandments.” (v. 7)

5. πŸ“ Reflection

We live in a world that constantly tells us to “look ahead” and “move on.”

But Psalm 78 invites us to look back—to remember what God has done.

This isn’t just about history. It’s about hope.

  • When we remember how God showed up in the past, we’re reminded that He’s still working today.
  • When we tell others about His faithfulness, we’re planting seeds of hope in their hearts.
  • When we obey His Word, we’re choosing to trust that His way is better—even when life feels uncertain.

So today, ask yourself:

  • What stories of God’s faithfulness are you holding onto?
  • Who in your life needs to hear them?
  • How can you live today in a way that reflects your hope in a living God?

Let’s be a generation that remembers, hopes, and obeys.

6. πŸ’¬ What does this passage speak to you today?

  • What are some ways God has been faithful in your life?
  • Who can you share that story with this week?
  • What would it look like to live with hope in God today?

7. πŸ™ Share below, and let’s encourage one another in prayer!

Let’s pray for hearts that remember well, hope deeply, and obey joyfully.

God is not done writing your story—and He’s worth trusting every step of the way.

Scriptures

πŸ“– 1  Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth! 2  I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old, 3  things that we have heard and known, that our fathers have told us. 4  We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.

5 He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, 6  that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, 7 so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments; 8  and that they should not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation whose heart was not steadfast, whose spirit was not faithful to God (Ps 78:1-8, ESV).
