7-Step QT Notes
1. π Quiet Time
Take a moment to slow down. Breathe. Invite God into this space. He’s already here, waiting to speak to your heart.
2. π June 12, 2025
Today is a new day. Let’s meet God through His Word.
3. ✝️ Psalm 73:1–14
This psalm is written by Asaph, a worship leader who’s wrestling with something we all feel at times: “Why do people who don’t care about God seem to be doing better than those who do?”
4. π Key Verse
“All in vain have I kept my heart clean and washed my hands in innocence.” (v.13)
This is raw honesty. Asaph is saying, “What’s the point of trying to live right when the wicked are thriving?”
5. π Reflection
Isn’t it wild how this ancient struggle still hits home today?
You might be working hard, staying honest, trying to follow Jesus—and yet, it feels like others who cut corners, chase fame, or ignore God are the ones getting ahead. Maybe you’ve thought, “Is my faith even making a difference?”
But here’s the truth: God is not absent. He’s patient.
He sees everything, and He’s working in ways we can’t always see. Asaph’s frustration is real, but it’s not the end of the story. (Spoiler: in the second half of the psalm, everything shifts when he enters God’s presence.)
So today, remember:
- God’s timing is not our timing.
- Faithfulness isn’t always flashy, but it’s never wasted.
- Peace comes not from comparing lives, but from trusting God’s heart.
6. π¬ What does this passage speak to you today?

Scriptures
π 1 Truly God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. 2 But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled, my steps had nearly slipped. 3 For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 For they have no pangs until death; their bodies are fat and sleek. 5 They are not in trouble as others are; they are not stricken like the rest of mankind. 6 Therefore pride is their necklace; violence covers them as a garment. 7 Their eyes swell out through fatness; their hearts overflow with follies. 8 They scoff and speak with malice; loftily they threaten oppression. 9 They set their mouths against the heavens, and their tongue struts through the earth. 10 Therefore his people turn back to them, and find no fault in them. 11 And they say, “How can God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?” 12 Behold, these are the wicked; always at ease, they increase in riches. 13 All in vain have I kept my heart clean and washed my hands in innocence. 14 For all the day long I have been stricken and rebuked every morning (Ps 73:1-14, ESV).
